	Download StarStrider v2.8.5 from site 1, from site 2, < 15.7 MB > This download includes the program files, the standard catalogues, and the default texture pack. English, Spanish, German, Swedish and Dutch language translations are included.
	Download DirectX v9. Microsoft DirectX v9 from June 2010 or later is required for StarStrider - earlier versions of DX9 won't work!
	Download the Screen-saver add-on v2.0, < 222 KB > This optional add-on allows you to use StarStrider as a Windows screen-saver.
	Download the SciTE code editor add-on v1.2, < 486 KB > This optional add-on makes it easier to code your own scripts and extensions for StarStrider.

Note: If you get an error about a missing d3dx9_43.dll when you start StarStrider, then you need to update DirectX to a newer compile (NB; this also applies to Windows 7 & Vista; which comes with older versions of DX9 preinstalled).

A pair of "3D-anaglyph glasses".

Limitations of the Trial version:

This optional texture pack contains some additional very high resolution textures. Note: Not all video cards can use these - we recommand at least an Nvidia GeForce FX-series or ATI X1x00-series, or later. Textures this large can also slows down the rendering a lot - so only download this if you really want it!

Download the Small texture pack v1.0, < 2.1 MB >
This optional texture pack allows you to use StarStrider with older video cards with as little as 8 MB of video memory.
Note: This is only for very old video cards, if you have 64 MB or more video memory, then you don't need this!

Download the ASCC database add-on v1.0, < 30.4 MB >
This add-on contains a database of more than 2 million stars constructed mostly from the "All-Sky Compiled Catalogue". Due to its large size, please only download it if you are really interested and have a fast computer and have purchased a copy of StarStrider.
