Download the Small texture pack, < 2.1 MB > This optional texture pack allows you to use StarStrider with older video cards with only 8 or 16 MB of video memory. Note: This is only for very old video cards, if you have 32 MB or more video memory, then you don't need this! |

Important Note: You must have DirectX v9 dated from October 2006 or later to run this software. Earlier versions wont work. Note: Windows Vista ships with an earlier version of DX9 and thus Vista-users may also need to install a DirectX update to use StarStrider.. You are also strongly recommended to get latest drivers for your video card; old buggy drivers are the most common source of problems! We also recommend that you make sure that you have updated sound card and input-device drivers as we have heard from a few users who had severe problems until they updated these!

Download the 2048x1024 texture pack, < 4.6 MB > This optional texture pack contains some additional higher resolution textures. Note: Not all video cards can support these. Cards supporting 2048x textures: All Nvidia cards, all ATI Radeon-series cards, Intel i845 and later. Your card should also have at least 64MB of video memory. |

Download the 4096x2048 texture pack, < 13.3 MB > This optional texture pack contains some additional even higher resolution textures. Note: Only a few video cards can support these! Cards supporting 4096x textures: Nvidia GeForce 3 Ti (not MX!), GeForce 4 Ti (not MX!), GeForce FX-series. Your card should also have at least 128MB of video memory. Please note that textures this large can make the video rendering very slow! Only download this if you really want it! |

Download the ASCC database add-on, < 30.4 MB > This add-on contains a database of more than 2 million stars constructed mostly from the "All-Sky Compiled Catalogue". Due to its large size, please only download it if you are really interested and have a fast computer and have purchased a copy of StarStrider. |
